Meet Our Panel Dr. Chih-Yang Tsai, Professor of Data Analytics, SUNY New Paltz: Dr. Chih-Yang Tsai is currently professor of business analytics at SUNY New Paltz. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Stern School of Business, New York University. His research interests include supply chain logistics, linear/non-linear optimization, and machine learning. Dr. Tsai has a wide range of consulting experience with startups, mid-Hudson regional businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. Before entering academia, he worked as a production controller and a special assistant to the CEO of a multinational manufacturer. Theodore Clarke, Professor (Ret.) of Marketing, SUNY New Paltz: Ted Clarke is a retired college marketing professor who taught at SUNY New Paltz in the School of Business for 30 years and holds several degrees in Management and Marketing. In 2010 Professor Clark launched his own consulting company specializing in market research studies for health care and financial services organizations. Troy Del Valle, VP of Business Intelligence, HVCU: Troy Del Valle is Vice President of Business Intelligence at HVCU. His work focuses on data warehouse architecture, analytical reporting, and member profitability. Troy has led initiatives for internal process automation, creation of a data governance counsel, reporting and dashboard development, as well as development of multiple machine learning projects. Before coming to Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Troy was AVP of Business Intelligence at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union. While at MIDFLORIDA, Troy managed the data warehouse, employee incentive programs, and implemented self-service BI. In 2011, he received his MBA from the University of Tampa with a concentration on management information systems. David Dirks, VP of Marketing, HVCU: David is Vice President of Marketing for HVCU. He is the co-author of the book “The New Marketing Analytics: A CMO’s Guide to Harnessing Traditional and Big Data to Drive Business Results” (2016). His latest book in this series, “The New Sales Analytics” will be published in early 2021.
