Vassar College Majors will present a program of accompanied and unaccompanied choral works by Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Gesualdo, Fauré, Thompson, and others on Saturday, December 9, 1:30 pm in Skinner Recital Hall. This concert will serve as the senior conducting recital of Nicholas Ruggeri '18. This event is free and open to the public. Vassar College Majors is a select SATB choral ensemble that specializes in music from the Renaissance, Romantic, and Contemporary periods. Founded and currently conducted by Nicholas Ruggeri '18, Majors is a student-managed organization which performs both on Vassar's campus and in the Poughkeepsie community. Majors is also a nationally-touring ensemble, most recently performing at the Interkultur International Choral Festival in Princeton, NJ where they were praised for their "polished, mature sound and commitment to a high level of artistry."
