What is SBIRT?
Screening Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is a comprehensive public health approach for delivering prevention, early intervention and referral to treatment services to people using substances in a
harmful or risky way.
Goals of the training:
Identify SBIRT as a system change initiative & compare & contrast the current system.
Understand the information provided
Gain knowledge of brief intervention & motivational skills
Describe referral to treatment
