Description
Come join us at Barrett Art Center for the opening of Fun House: Art of the Surreal, Fantastic, and Bizarre, a national contemporary art exhibition juried by Eve Biddle, artist and Founding Co-Executive Director of the Wassaic Project. The Center will also open Flooded, a solo show by Westchester photographer Susan Keiser, whose works have appeared in national and international exhibitions and publications.
Fun House juror Eve Biddle has strong ties to the region's art scene. ''We are very excited to work with such an accomplished artist and curator,'' explains the Center's Director, Joanna Frang. ''Her work with the Wassaic Project highlights the key role arts organizations play in the vitality of any community - connecting artists and creative resources to residents of all ages.'' Biddle has received commissions for public art works from the Philadelphia Mural Arts, the Indianapolis Arts Council, North Brooklyn Public Arts Council, and the 5Pointz in Queens, New York.
Fun House embraces paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture from established and emerging artists from across the US as well as right here in our own backyard.
