Vassar College’s first food symposium “Building Food: Food, Space, and Architecture,” will be held on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8, at Alumnae House. The event kicks off on Friday at 5:30pm with a keynote address from sociologist and food studies authority, Priscilla Parkhurst Ferguson of Columbia University. Saturday is a full day of lectures organized as four panels, including a highlight of the symposium, a lunch panel on futuristic foods. Celebrity chef Bun Lai is one of the featured chefs on the lunch panel. All events are free and open to the public, but registration is required.
