This course covers basic first aid, CPR techniques, maneuvers for choking victims and how to use an automated external defibrillator. Instruction provided for adult, child and infant. Textbook and materials included. This course is suitable for day care workers, construction workers, school personnel, coast guard candidates, camp counselors and many other community professions. Successful course completion results in a certification card valid for two years from the AHA. Fee is $75 includes text. This class is scheduled 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. *If you are in the medical field you will likely require the BLS Provider class to meet the CPR AED requirement for employment or school. Please see that class if you are a medical student, nursing student, lifeguard, EMT, Medic or hold another health care provider related role. **If you are a NYS Coach you will need the Heartsaver CPR AED Course and the Sports First Aid & Injury Prevention Course (to meet the NYS requirement for Coaches).
