Work Local First Job Fair aims to close gap for local job seekers 

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – August 24, 2018 – Styling on the Go, an initiative from Dress for Success, and Dutchess One Stop will both be present at this year’s Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Work Local First Job Fair. The Job Fair returns this year on Thursday, September 20, at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel & Conference Center from 11 AM to 3 PM following the Chamber’s September Contact Breakfast. Individuals looking for employment are invited to take advantage of this great opportunity to widen their career horizons, learn about job openings, and submit résumés.

New this year for job seekers will be “Styling on the Go”, a division of Dress for Success, a program from the Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County. Job seekers who plan to attend and need help in showing their best can contact the Styling on the Go team and make an appointment for that day. Styling on the Go has in-house career stylists who will work with candidates to look their best. The style team plans to bring an assortment of career ensembles. They strongly suggest job seekers call ahead of time and make an appointment to ensure they will have the right inventory. Anyone outfitted in their career best that day will get to keep their outfit. Individuals can make an appointment by calling Robin from Styling on the Go at 845.452.5104 x 138. The Styling on the Go team will be present at the Job Fair from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. This service is complimentary

Dutchess One Stop will also be on site that day. Their staff will provide complimentary one-on-one resume critiques.
