October Activities with the Chamber and the Chamber Foundation

October is a great time for the Hudson Valley – autumn is in full swing and we are fully into apple season! Enjoy an apple cider donut while taking in everything the region has to offer.

Not to be missed is the Monthly Business After Hours at The Community at Brookmeade in Rhinebeck, on Wednesday, October 11th. Additionally, the monthly Contact Breakfast will be Wednesday, October 25th at The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, featuring a forum with Dutchess County Executive candidates Sue Serino and Tommy Zurhellen. Following the Contact Breakfast, stay around and join the Chamber for a Business Education Seminar on boosting your business planning. This is a great way to build your skills in creating, developing, and implementing an effective business plan – a crucial aspect of entrepreneurship and company management.

Finally, but certainly not least – Pigskins & Pints is on Sunday, October 29th at The Academy in Poughkeepsie. The annual event is a fundraiser for The Chamber Foundation, Inc. and is a great way to enjoy a Sunday with football, food and beverages, and prizes – details for this fantastic event can be found at dcrcoc.org.

October also brings a number of Ribbon Cuttings – a great way to celebrate new and expanding businesses in the area. Come out and show your support, a full list of the ribbon cutting can be found on dcrcoc.org.
