Looking Forward to Summer in the Hudson Valley

We truly live in a beautiful part of the world, and one that has a lot of activities and events during the summer months. I’m especially excited this summer in the Hudson Valley to attend the many Chamber annual and monthly events.

As I wrote about last month, the Day of Golf on June 21 at The Links at Union Vale raises money for the Norman and Rita Nussbickel Memorial Scholarship. Looking ahead to July, save the date Wednesday, July 27 for the Floating Business Break, our extended Business After Hours networking event aboard Hudson River Cruises. On Wednesday, August 24, the Business After Hours takes place at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls, where we cheer on our hometown Hudson Valley Renegades.

Of course, it’s never too early to remind everyone about the 31st Annual Hudson Valley Balloon Festival on Labor Day weekend, September 2, 3 and 4. Balloon Festival tickets are already on sale at balloonfesthv.com! Each year, the Chamber recruits volunteers to help with the huge task of executing this event, some extra hands are needed to help with everything from games and information booths to activities and tethered rides. Volunteering comes with a free t-shirt and a free ticket to the festival. Please let the Chamber know if you may be interested in volunteering at frontdesk@dcrcoc.org.
