Get Ready for The Great Hudson Valley Scavenger Hunt 2022

Last year, we recognized that one of the challenges local businesses were facing was staying connected with their customers, so we developed the inaugural Great Hudson Valley Scavenger Hunt, presented by KeyBank. It was such a success, with over 900 participants, that we will be bringing it back this year! Beginning Monday, May 23 through Sunday, June 5, teams will compete for their chance to win cash and prizes, including the Grand Prize of $2,022 in cash.

Scavenger Hunt teams will be directed to visit participating businesses or organizations, find a prominently placed poster with a QR code that needs to be scanned with a smart phone, and enter a key word when prompted. It is really a fun way to highlight your company and attract people that may have never visited you before!

The official website for The Great Hudson Valley Scavenger Hunt is HVScavengerHunt.com, where people will be able to register their team, and see all of the participating locations, while earning points along the way. Your business could also offer special promotions for contestants.

Teams can also listen each morning to Annie with Ryan on Q92 in the 7AM hour for that day’s special clue, which leads to a featured member of the day. Doesn’t this sound like something your business should be a part of? You can participate as a sponsor or just have your business be a location for the teams to visit and collect points. If interested, please give us a call at 845-454-1700 ext. 1000, or email frontdesk@dcrcoc.org.

This is just one more avenue for us to offer complimentary exposure to members by encouraging the public to seek out local businesses. In addition to traditional networking events, the Chamber hosts community events like this to especially support small businesses with brand awareness and customer traffic. Stay tuned for more information about the Scavenger Hunt, and help everyone in the community remember to Think Local First!
