    Gearing up for Autumn

First and foremost, I would like to thank Scott Pawenski for his time, dedication and support he provided the Chamber for so long – you will be missed. Much luck and best wishes on a well-deserved retirement!

Autumn is a special time of year for the Hudson Valley. The leaves are changing, apples are ready to be picked, and an almost unlimited number of activities are occurring to welcome the season. Whether taking in the picturesque scenery from the Walkway Over The Hudson or enjoying a wine tasting at Millbrook Vineyards and Winery, this is a great time to get out and appreciate the Hudson Valley at its finest.

The Chamber is proud to offer some wonderful events this month, such as the September Contact Breakfast featuring a forum with New York State Senate’s 39th District candidates Rob Rolison and Julie Shiroishi on September 21st, Business After Hours at Locust Grove on September 29th, and ribbon cuttings to celebrate local businesses opening, expanding and bettering Dutchess County. Be on the lookout for exciting annual events such as Pigskins and Pints, an opportunity to celebrate football, food and have an all-around good time with fellow Chamber members and nonmembers alike.

I hope to see everyone out and about at the Chamber events, as well as in the Hudson Valley, to enjoy everything the region has to offer. Please say hello, I’d love to meet you, as would the rest of the members of the Board of Directors from the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Foundation.

-Gregory White of Adams Fairacre Farms is the Chamber's Board of Directors Chair for 2022-2023
