Balloon Festival will provide a needed boost to economy

The 31st Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival presented by JPMorgan Chase and is scheduled for September 2-4, at Tymor Park in Union Vale.

One of the region’s signature community events, the Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival always provides a wonderful weekend for the entire family. With over 100 planned balloon inflations throughout the three-day event, live music, entertainment, vendors, beer and wine tent, helicopter rides, food trucks, family activities and games, there’s no better way to celebrate summer.

We welcome back JPMorgan Chase as our presenting sponsor and our Event Sponsors Bottini Fuel, Q92.1FM, and Sloop Brewing Co./Craft NY. A complete list of community sponsors as well as all the details, balloon ride and ticket donation information are available at balloonfesthv.com.

We will have early morning launches on Saturday and Sunday, along with opportunities to join a yoga class courtesy of Pellegrino Healing Center. Also featuring fireworks displays on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings coupled with spectacular balloon illumination moon glows. As always, balloon launches are weather and wind permitting.

A large event like this one involves many hands and we always welcome volunteers. If you are willing to drive a golf cart, run a game, help us set up/breakdown, or park cars, please reach out to Chelsea@dcrcoc.org.

This is truly a fine example of our community coming together to deliver an uplifting event, and it is always great to see the crowds enjoying it up close and personal, as well as the economic benefits it brings to our business community. The Chamber and the Chamber Foundation strive to deliver a terrific festival for both locals and visitors to the Hudson Valley – I hope to see you there.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the Chamber, and remember to Think Local First!

Frank M. Castella, Jr. is President & CEO of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce
