“The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a human.”
Union Vale, NY, April 25, 2021 —Dust off your boots and get back to nature celebrating National Help A Horse Day at JL Performance Horses on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Guests will be able to take a hands-on role caring for, interacting and training with horses and ponies during lessons, classes and demonstrations designed to raise awareness of equine welfare. No prior experience is required, just a love for horses. Team PONYSITTERS and farm staff will greet with a smile and serve as your guide into the wonderful world of horses.
Gates open at 12noon with fun for the whole family including some friendly competition with ol’ fashion farm games like the Grain Sack Race, Pre-historic Horse Fossil Dig, Apple Netting, Saddling Competition, Panning for Gold, Rodeo Roping, Snake in my Boot and more! Children will enjoy making their own farm animal face mask and winning prizes to take home.
It has been proven that caring for, working with and riding horses provides great physical activity, reduces stress and anxiety, boosts self-esteem and teaches focus, patience and improves non-verbal communication skills.
Since 2014, National Help A Horse Day celebrates the inception of the ASPCA back in 1866, when founder Henry Bergh stopped a cart driver from beating his horse, resulting in the first successful arrest for horse mistreatment.
JL Performance Horses remains a COVID FREE environment. All persons must be healthy for 14 days prior to entry. Advanced registration for attendance to this event is required.
