The law firm of Stenger, Diamond & Glass, LLP (SDG) have advanced both Karen E. Hagstrom and Ian C. Lindars to partners effective January 1, 2022.
Karen E. Hagstrom has been part of the SDG litigation team since January of 2019 and brings over 24 years of trial experience to the firm. Similarly, Ian C. Lindars, a native of Dutchess County, has extensive experience and has been practicing law in the Hudson Valley since 2005.
Karen has been in private practice for the past 15 years, focusing on tax certiorari, civil litigation, appellate advocacy, land use and municipal law. Karen has expanded SDG Law’s tax certiorari practice and has represented the towns of Poughkeepsie and Rhinebeck for tax certiorari cases. SDG notes some of Karen’s commendable accomplishments include obtaining favorable court decisions for municipalities, such as the dismissal of petitions for lack of standing and for failure to establish entitlement to a charitable exemption. Karen also was the first prosecutor in Dutchess County to try a case without the testimony of a domestic violence victim, expanded the law on aggravated harassment in a domestic violence case and convicted multiple gang members in a lengthy trial.
Also in the litigation department, Ian Lindars represents clients who have sustained serious personal injury resulting from automobile accidents, slip/trip and falls, dog attacks, construction accidents and medical malpractice. In 2014, Ian joined SDG as an associate and his star has continued to rise. Ian received the Forty Under Forty Shaker Award from the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2009 and has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a New York Rising Star every year since 2013. Ian represents clients in both residential and commercial real estate. He also represents businesses in various matters including commercial litigation, drafting contracts and risk avoidance/mitigation.
Stenger, Diamond & Glass, LLP and their newest partners are eagerly waiting to assist clients in their legal matters. Karen E. Hagstrom and Ian C. Lindars pinpoint particulars and specific details of a client’s case and ensure a multi-faceted approach to client needs. Their vast knowledge of multiple areas of law complements the interdisciplinary team at SDG, ushering clients to new heights in their desired legal outcomes. A diversity of lawyers allows for optimal results. SDG wholeheartedly boasts, “We don’t practice law because we HAVE to, we practice law because we WANT to.”
