• Most Important Meal Breakfast Fundraiser Returns for 2022

    Hudson Valley Community Services, a division of Cornerstone Family Healthcare, is hosting the sixth annual Most Important Meal breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the Fishkill Recreation Center from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The event raised money for HVCS’ emergency food closets, which assist local low-income residents who live with chronic illnesses receive adequate nutritional resources so they can stay as healthy as possible.

    The 2022 Most Important Meal is presented by Hudson Valley Credit Union.

    The Most Important Meal features an all-you-eat cereal buffet, hot food items, coffee, tea, juice and fruit selections. Gluten-free options will be available.

    Guests will also enjoy contests, giveaways, candy sales, and fun retro cartoons, harkening back to childhood weekend mornings. Children, who may attend and eat at no cost, will be entertained by special contests and games.

    Tickets are $35.00 each for adults and teens. As noted, children are free. Tables of 10 are also available for $250.00, a $100.00 savings. First-time guests will be entered into a special door prize raffle. Each guest will receive a gift item.

    Proceeds benefit HVCS’ emergency food closets, which are located in all seven of its offices. These drop-in mini-pantries provide nutritional basics, toiletries, and household cleansers for clients who are living with one or more chronic illness and need additional support to stay as healthy as possible. In 2021, HVCS’ food closets served 1,200 local residents and distributed over 16,000 pounds of food.

    Additional sponsors include the Golub Foundation, HealthFirst, and Ruge’s Subaru. Sponsorships are still available. HVCS is also selling ads on event placemats and is seeking auction items.
