Mid Hudson Construction Management Celebrates the Historic Renovation of
the Firehouse Lofts at 766 Main Street with Dedication and Donation

In its ongoing commitment to economic development in Dutchess County, Mid Hudson Construction Management (MHCM) revealed the recently completed renovation of the former Arlington Firehouse at 766 Main Street in Poughkeepsie. Named “The Firehouse Lofts,” the highly anticipated project consists of four brand-new, one-bedroom lofts, as well as a large first-floor commercial space for immediate lease.

Members of the Arlington Fire Department, including Arlington Fire Chief William Steenbergh, were onsite to help celebrate the history of the building as well as the creative redevelopment of the storied site.

“It’s our mission at MHCM, as a family-owned business, to ensure that every project we take on contributes to our community in a positive way, and that we do work we’re proud of personally, whether it be constructing the new or revitalizing the old,” said Ray Travis, co-owner of MHCM.
To further honor the legacy of the first Arlington Firehouse, MHCM unveiled a dedicated plaque as a tribute to the building’s rich history and presented an oversized check and donation to the Arlington Fire Department. The funds will be used to refurbish the memorial for fallen firefighters on Burnett Boulevard.

“It’s our hope that these lofts and this building will serve a greater purpose for the community at large, as this project has provided both new spaces to call home and a new space to bring the community together,” said Scott Travis, brother of Ray and co-owner of MHCM.
