Greystone Programs, Inc., a Hopewell Junction-based nonprofit human services agency, is readying for its 29th Annual International Wine Showcase & Auction on Sunday, September 23, 2018 and this year it will be a whole lot more colorful. The event will showcase the perspective of the individuals it supports with an art exhibit featuring re-creations of famous masterpieces by participants from Greystone Programs’ Expressive Arts Program.

The festivities will take place that day from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at The Grandview, 176 Rinaldi Boulevard, Poughkeepsie, NY. Tickets are $150 each. Event sponsorships are still being accepted and most sponsorship levels include complimentary tickets. For reservations/tickets or sponsorships, call Peter Sestito, Director of Communications at (845) 452-5772.Tickets can also be purchased online at www.greystoneprograms.org.

In addition to the Expressive Arts exhibit, the event features a wine tasting with international and local Hudson Valley wines; elevated cuisine; Dutchess Cigar Bar; live musical entertainment from composer and bassist Damon Banks and live and silent auctions designed to raise funds for Hudson Valley children, adults and families effected by autism and other developmental disabilities.

The fundraising event will also shine the spotlight on Mr. & Mrs. Ronald and Christina Alfonso for their long-standing involvement in the Greystone community.

“Honoring Hudson Valley families who need us most is at the heart of the Greystone Programs’ mission,” said Greystone Programs Chief Executive Officer Skip Pryce. “The Annual International Wine Showcase & Auction is our chance to invite the community at large to join us in helping these individuals and have a great time while doing so. We’re especially looking forward to sharing the inspired artwork our individuals have created and to seeing some of the world’s most famous paintings – from the likes of Van Gogh and Picasso – through their eyes.”

    About Greystone Programs
Greystone Programs is committed to providing exceptional services and life-enriching opportunities for children, adults, and families with autism and other developmental disabilities. Greystone Programs began in 1979 by opening Greystone House, in Hyde Park, the first privately run group home in New York State for people living with autism. Prior to that, people with autism primarily lived in state-run institutions, with custodial care at best. Greystone’s ground-breaking initiative was the first to offer people with autism the opportunity to live as a family in cozy, safe, inviting homes with skilled, compassionate, inspiring staff. The agency has grown tremendously since then, now offering 14 group homes and one apartment in three counties and serving more than 500 children, adults and families in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Ulster and Columbia counties.
