Director of Communications and Marketing
Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce
The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking for an experienced professional to join our team and fill an important position in the organization.
This person will be responsible for directing all communications and marketing on behalf of the Chamber and The Chamber Foundation, with a particular emphasis on digital initiatives. A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications and marketing is required; previous management experience is preferred.
The Director of Communications and Marketing will work strategically with other departments to promote what the Chamber offers, including membership benefits and events. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining websites, planning and executing sophisticated social media campaigns based on demographics and analytics, e-marketing, and the oversight of other communications and publications including a monthly newsletter, regular email blasts, direct mail pieces, and more. Other duties include taking photographs and video, support in the planning and executing of events and membership efforts, and serving as committee staff liaison.
Applicants should have strong digital skills and relevant experience, be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook, be well-versed in social media platforms and digital analytics, have superior communication and interpersonal skills, and be extremely detail oriented. Abilities to meet tight deadlines and manage workflow are essential, as is knowledge of the business and local community.
Work hours are 8:30-4:30 M-F and as needed at various events before and after hours. The Chamber offers a full benefit package, including health, dental and 401K plan.
