This event will take place at homes throughout the north side of the City of Poughkeepsie. Volunteers will meet at the municipal parking lot between N. Hamilton and Catharine Street for their project assignments.
Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County and Thrivent Builds Repairs are participating in the national Make A Difference Day on Saturday, October 24th, 2015, by coordinating a home repair and improvement program in the City of Poughkeepsie. For the third year in a row, hundreds of volunteers will work side-by-side with homeowners in selected neighborhoods of the City of Poughkeepsie. This event is designed to involve volunteers from throughout the community in helping provide a "hand up" to people in need of affordable home repairs and improvements. On this Make A Difference Day, on October 24th, 2015, volunteers and city homeowners will work together to complete short-term, exterior home repair projects that have long-term benefits for the community.
