Multi-instrumentalist, composer, and musicologist Zisl Slepovitch will give the lecture “Jewish Music Culture of Eastern Europe” on November 1 at 4:00pm and will follow with a concert with his klezmer band, Litvakus, at 7:00pm. Both events will be held on the second floor of the Students’ Building at Vassar College and are free and open to the public. Slepovitch, a native of Minsk, Belarus, is a touring artist and has served as Assistant Music Director for several National Yiddish Theatre productions and as a Yiddish language and culture instructor at The New School University.
