CIA's Applied Food Studies class is holding a fundraiser to purchase two apiaries for CIA's Teaching Garden. Students have been researching pollinators as an integral part of our environment. Additional revenues will be donated towards Heifer International to buy beehives for families in need around the globe and the Honeybee Conservancy for research and education on the Colony Collapse Disorder. Date: Sunday, July 17, 2016 Reception: 5 p.m. Dress Code: Casual Entertainment: Lawn games, such as bocce Price: $65 per person, includes the reception, four-course dinner, all beverages, tax, and service.
