Let’s Make 2022 a Year of Growth and Prosperity

Happy 2022! What are your plans and strategies for the new year? Are there projects coming to fruition? Grand openings or new staff to celebrate? Whatever is in the works for your business, we encourage you to share the news, reach out to other members for support, and of course, let the Chamber be your resource throughout the year.

Here at the Chamber and The Chamber Foundation, we are deep into the planning stages for many of our signature events in 2022 – the Annual Gala in March, the return of the popular Scavenger Hunt in May to encourage people to visit local member businesses, and the 31st Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival – not to mention the monthly breakfasts, networking events, committee and business education seminars, a consumer Expo in the spring, and much more.

The Chamber Foundation will continue its good work of guiding the area youth and professionals to new heights of leadership. See the Foundation’s scholarship program webpage and deadline for applications.

The Workforce Development Center continues promoting support services to the youth and adults around Dutchess County. Read more about the WDC’s goal to help participants access professional training and develop skills that enable them to have a more promising career as well as open up new opportunities in their lives on the Workforce Development Center tab.

It’s been a challenging couple of years for the regional business community. We know we are not out of the woods yet and many businesses are still struggling … but we will continue to be your advocate, to provide resources for your business, and to create opportunities to connect and promote that are informative, engaging, and ultimately, prosperous for you.

From myself and the Chamber staff, we wish you all the best in the coming year. Stay involved and engaged with us, and we’ll continue to remind everyone to Think Local First.

Frank M. Castella, Jr. is the President and CEO of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce
