  • KidVenture took over Poughkeepsie

    Hudson Valley KidVenture came to the City of Poughkeepsie Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and 21!
     
    Designed for kids of all ages, this interactive and educational event featured activities, live performances, demonstrations, technology exhibits, street performers, and so much more – all included in the price of admission!
     
    KidVenture also featured a Boy Scouts’ climbing wall, Carmella the Therapy Pony, Illusionist Ryan Dutcher, Bee Bee the Clown, demonstrations from Food Network’s “Chopped” Champion Chef Dafna Mizrahi, Two by Two Zoo, exotic reptiles and birds of pray, over 20 vehicles at the Touch-A-Truck exhibit (Saturday only), Comic Con superheroes, special princess appearances, two huge model train exhibits, and kid-friendly, hands-on activities galore including a hot-air balloon playhouse!
     
    Food trucks with delicious offerings lined the street and some local merchants offered specials all weekend!
     
    The event spread out through the central business district in downtown Poughkeepsie, including Market Street, The ChangePoint Theatre, Dutchess County DMV parking lot, part of Main Street, and inside the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.
