Honoring Outstanding Individuals in the Community

The Chamber recently announced the Hudson Valley’s top Forty Under 40 nomination has begun, and I know I cannot wait to see who will be honored this year.
 
The Forty Under 40, Mover & Shaker Awards are presented annually to 40 top young professionals who have shown a strong commitment to the Hudson Valley. Honorees are individuals who go beyond their careers, working to enhance their local community and beyond. More than 100 nominations are submitted annually, and the list of talent ranges across a wide variety of industries. I am always very impressed with the forte and dedication that these young professionals have.
 
What is equally impressive is the work of the selection committee, comprised of former honorees, tasked with judging all the nominations based on professional and community achievements. These individuals volunteer a considerable amount of time to score each nomination, and the awards are based solely on their consideration—not sponsorship, nor Chamber membership.
 
The awards ceremony will once again take us to the silver screen as we host the awards as a night at the drive-in. It’s a great night full of celebration for these honorees and their accomplishments. I encourage you to attend, joining the Chamber Board and fellow members in a salute to the future leaders of our business community.
 
I know the Chamber is working continuously to grow the value of membership,  which benefits the community as a whole, and I look forward to seeing you soon at an event or even a ribbon cutting.
