  • Events Are Keeping Members Engaged

As we begin to wind down 2020 and look forward to 2021, at the Chamber we continue to find unique ways to increase engagement with the business community. September brought a fun, drive-in movie recognition of the 2020 Forty under 40. October brought a reimagined Balloon Festival and a Golf Tournament benefitting the Nussbickel Scholarship for The Chamber Foundation. We produced six forums to showcase and allow you to question the candidates running for our local, state and federal elected offices. We even got back to health centric events with the Walk or Run for Fitness or Fun program. All were well attended, designed to be safe in today’s environment, and provided opportunities for our members to engage, participate, put their name out there and be seen.

Looking ahead we will continue to search for innovative ways to engage, inform, advocate and provide networking and marketing opportunities for our members. As with many of your businesses, it’s been a difficult year for us. The landscape is ever changing, but we continue to adapt and move forward. We plan to remain strong and nimble as the new year approaches and continue to help our members do the same through education, advocacy, networking and providing opportunities for members, as events allow.

With the colder weather comes the start of the holiday season, and the Chamber is here to help get your organization’s brand out there. Whether it is our members only Network, Present & Refer events, our Think Local First campaigns, or our partnership and participation of Small Business Saturday, we have plenty of ways for you to utilize your membership to get more customers. If you’ve had to put membership on hold, please reach out and contact us so we can help you find a way to participate in the opportunities membership in the Chamber has to offer.

As 2020 draws to a close and the holiday season approaches, let’s remember to be thankful and joyful for what we have and those we have around us. Together, we can put 2020 behind us and rise up to a better 2021!
