  • Chamber breakfast featuring Vassar College President

    The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s next Contact Breakfast will feature Vassar College President Elizabeth Bradley giving a keynote address, “Higher education in the 21st Century: Vassar College and its role in the Hudson River Valley.”
     
    The breakfast, sponsored by The Heart Center a division of Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Practice, P.C. and an affiliate of Health Quest, will be held 7:30-9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21 at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $25 in advance for members, $30 at the door. Non-members can attend for $35. Payment in advance is required in order to expedite the check-in process.     A central focus of President Bradley’s career has been improving health care delivery in the United States as well as through projects in Africa, Asia, and Europe. She has also published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and three books. Since 2016, Bradley was the Director of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy at Yale, a program that examines academic disciplines as context to address a wide range of current-day challenges. In her role as Head of Branford College, she was responsible for the intellectual and social life of the college. President Bradley is also the founder and Faculty Director of the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute, where she provided leadership and management education to empower low-income communities, and countries, to improve health outcomes.
