Business Event Calendar Is Filling Up

Can you believe it’s June already? As we head into summer, there is quite a bit happening at the Chamber. And I’m excited to keep seeing more and more of our members out and about as people continue to get vaccinated.

As many of you know, the Chamber has continued to offer educational events and networking opportunities throughout the last challenging year. As I wrote last month, it was great to see businesspeople at the Annual Gala and Contact Breakfast. Those breakfast events are getting closer to where we were in February 2020 – we even had table hosts again at the May event. At the June breakfast will recognize students who are being awarded scholarships by The Chamber Foundation. I expect a full house at that event on June 16!

I know the Chamber staff is taking every necessary precaution and following guidance from the state and county. But as things continue to open up, so will Chamber and Foundation events. I’m excited to save the dates for the 30th Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival in early September, and I’m looking forward to celebrating the Forty Under 40 honorees later in the year. I’ll be at the expanded Day of Golf in a couple of weeks, and I’m hoping there can be a few Business After Hours events added to the schedule as well.

Events are just one way to build relationships with fellow Chamber members. Many people in our communities look at the Chamber’s directory to find places to shop and dine, and it’s important you keep your directory profile updated. Of course, just let the staff know if you have questions about that or need your member login and password.
Things are getting busier. There are more places to go and things to do, and your Chamber continues to lead the way. Please take advantage of your membership, and I look forward to seeing you soon!
