• Union Vale resident tickets will only be sold at Town Hall from April 1 - August 22, during normal business hours.

• You may pay by cash, check or money order only. checks must be made out to the chamber foundation, inc.

• Credit cards are not an accepted form of payment at town hall for festival tickets.

• Visit the town website for office hours.

• Each ticket holder must present a town resident id at the gate for entry and at Town Hall for ticket purchase.

• This discount is valid for town of Union Vale residents only.

• Tickets may not be transferred or resold.

A note from the Chamber President to the residents of the Town of Union Vale:

Dear Neighbors of Tymor Park:

The purpose of this letter is to advise you of the 34^th Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival on August 29-31, 2025, Tymor Park in Union Vale and that we are diligently planning the details of this event to make certain we are good neighbors.

First, I want to invite you to be a part of this splendid summer rite of passage. I would also like to make you aware of some activities we will have to commemorate the 34^th year of this community event – in addition to welcoming majestic hot-air balloons from all over the country we will be holding a full festival with live music, family games, food trucks, vendors, entertainment, and each evening will closeout with a fireworks display.

The ability to steer the direction of a hot-air balloon is limited and dictated by the direction of the winds. We hope you will be welcoming to our pilots and crew should you encounter them in our neighborhoods flying low and slow. Often when they are low, they will be looking for places to land and will always ask permission first, if a landowner is present.

If you observe a balloon skimming the tops of the trees, please do not worry as this is a controlled method used by the pilot to slow the speed of the balloon during a descent. Damage to the trees is typically limited to the loss of a few leaves and not permanent.

Next, consistent with Town Board requirements, I want to ensure that we have the least impact on traffic flow as possible to respect your daily travel needs on Duncan and Tymor Park Roads. We will do our best to keep traffic flowing smoothly on Duncan Road and respectfully ask that if you can avoid travel past Tymor Park it would be best to mitigate the risk of being caught in traffic. For the safety of pedestrians walking to and from their vehicles, Tymor Park Road will be closed for the duration of the festival. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

We want to make sure we are good temporary neighbors by letting you know all of this in advance and don’t want to be an imposition to you. If you have any ideas to improve our format to lessen the burden on you and the surrounding community, please feel free to contact the Town Supervisor, a Town Councilman or me at (845) 454-1700 Ext. 1008. I am a town resident of Union Vale and wish to make the festival an enjoyable experience that you and your family look forward to each year.

Hot-Air Balloon Flight Information

Full Hot-Air Balloon Flights:

$350.00 PER PERSON - evening OR morning flight

Reservations strongly recommended as flights are likely to sellout in advance. Full Hot-Air Balloon Flights can be up to a 45 minute experience.

Tethered Hot-Air Balloon Flights:

$30.00 PER PERSON - Tethered hot-air balloon rides

Tethered hot-air balloon rides will be offered at the festival when wind and weather conditions allow. Rides will be sold on-site only (CASH ONLY) and not in advance. The balloon is tethered to the ground and ascends 50-75ft in the air and may last up to 5 minutes.

The reservation is only good for one person on the date and time selected unless All-Weekend Access Pass was purchased.
Reservations must be made online, in advanced, in the form of a donation per person, plus tax and convenience fees.
Parking is FREE however it is very limited. Those without a reservation will be turned away.
Parking is not available day of without a reservation. You must have a reservation to enter the parking areas.
Chairs and picnic blankets are encouraged.
Tethered Hot-Air Balloon rides will be available onsite for $30.00 Per Person. Wind and weather conditions permitting.
Outside food, beverages and coolers are prohibited with exception for baby formula.
Bathroom facilities will be provided onsite.
RV's, vehicles with trailers and buses will not be accommodated unless you have a camping pass.
Not tents allowed.
No overnight parking.
No Firearms.
No picnicking in parking lots.
No camping on site.
No dogs or pets allowed.
No alcohol.
No drones allowed on park grounds or airspace. This is law in the Town of Union Vale.
All bags and vehicles are subject to search.
There is very limited special parking for handicapped placard vehicles and parking is first-come first-serve in a field. Please plan accordingly.

By registering for this event you agree that there are NO returns, NO exchanges, NO refunds, NO exceptions. Hot-Air Balloons may not inflate or fly if wind and weather conditions are not ideal. The safety of patrons and the pilots are priority and inflation is at the sole discretion of the pilot. There may be a chance you will not see balloons if the wind and weather does not cooperate. Your donation will be applied towards maintaining the integrity and future of the Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival - as part of The Chamber foundation and the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce - two nonprofit community organizations. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. The event is rain or shine. Balloons may not inflate or fly if weather conditions are not ideal - refunds will NOT be issued if balloons do not inflate. You're donating to maintain the integrity of the non-profit organizations behind the festival.

Event is rain or shine. ALL BALLOONS TAKE-OFF AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE PILOT. Sometimes, due to impending weather, wind, or other conditions, balloons will launch early, late or not at all. Please plan to arrive roughly 30 minutes or more prior to the scheduled launch time to ensure you see the balloon inflate and rise. Up-to-the-minute info about launch times and delays, will be available via the Chamber's Facebook and Twitter postings throughout the festival. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

All Hot-Air Balloon launches are wind and weather permitting. Sometimes, due to impending weather, wind, or other conditions, balloons will launch early, late or not at all. Please plan to arrive roughly 30 minutes prior to the scheduled launch time to ensure you see the balloon inflate and rise. Up-to-the-minute information about launch times and delays, will be available via the Chamber's Facebook and Twitter postings throughout the festival. All balloon activities are weather-and wind-permitting at the discretion of the pilot. If wind and weather conditions are not ideal and safe for ballooning the pilot(s) will not inflate or fly.

By making a donation you agree to all of the above terms and conditions and understand refunds and exchanges will not be issued under any circumstances.

Notice of Filming and Photography

When you enter a Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce (DCRCOC) or The Chamber Foundation (CFDN) event or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by DCRCOC and CFDN and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar DCRCOC and CFDN events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of DCRCOC and CFDN. You release DCRCOC and CFDN, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings. By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by DCRCOC and CFDN or the person or entity designated to do so by DCRCOC and CFDN.
