Women's Leadership Alliance Committees

Identifies women’s issues in support of our mission or strategic initiatives. Primary responsibilities include proposing events to the Events sub-committee in support of these issues, developing awareness with the general public by working with the Marketing and Communications sub-committee to post content on the WLA website and social media.

This sub-committee is responsible for planning and proposing educational and networking events for full committee approval. It works closely with Chamber liaisons to coordinate logistics, secure venues, manage materials, and explore sponsorship opportunities. Responsibilities also include engaging guest speakers or panelists and identifying external partnerships that can provide support or educational value.

This sub-committee is responsible for creating and sharing content across WLA's social media, newsletter, and email platforms. It will promote WLA events and cross-market other women-focused events in the Hudson Valley. The team will also revise and maintain content publishing guidelines, collaborate with other WLA sub-committees on communication needs, and coordinate with the Chamber’s Communications team as needed. Additionally, the sub-committee will write or coordinate bi-monthly articles for inclusion in the DCRCOC Newsletter.

Charged with building membership and collaborating with chamber liaisons to keep membership list updated and organized. This sub-committee also reaches out by phone or email to personally engage with prospective new members to provide an overview of WLA and answer questions.

Charged with collaborating with the chosen organization about their needs and coordinating with WLA committee to help provide those needs. When no one on the WLA Committee is available, this sub-committee will collaborate with chamber liaisons to identify other Chamber members who can provide support to the nonprofit.
