Help Direct Policy

The Chamber is proud to support a Legislative Action Committee comprised of interested members. This group of concerned citizens helps identify issues of particular concern to the business community and encourages action. Current and past projects include repealing the MTA tax, fighting the scaffold and item pricing law, lobbying for a reduction in the gasoline tax, and much more. Meet & Question Candidates

Chamber members are routinely invited to forums and receptions with elected officials. These gatherings, most offered at no cost, provide allinterested parties a real chance to get up close and personal with local legislators, state senators, assembly members, county officials and even national officeholders. When you’re a member of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, you’ll be able to look the people who represent you in the eye and get answers straight from the source.

Free NYS Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

This annual training fulfills state requirements and helps promote a safe, respectful workplace for all.

The Chamber Foundation 

The Chamber Foundation provides impactful educational programming through our Leadership programs; Youth Leadership, Leadership Dutchess, and Executive Leadership, while also supporting higher education through scholarships and other supportive services.

Seminars

The Chamber offers members the opportunity to hear from local experts on a variety of topics, everything from finance to IT, at complimentary seminars. These events are a great way to grow your knowledge base and run your business more effectively.

Small Business Development Center (SBC)

The Small Business Development Center provides a vast array of technical assistance to small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. They can assist with development of business plans; manufacturing assistance; financial packaging and lending assistance; exporting and importing support; disaster recovery assistance; procurement and contracting aid; and market research services

Service Corps Of Retired Executives (SCORE)

Chamber members have access to the Service Corps of Retired Executives for help growing their business or getting
a venture off the ground. SCORE can provide mentorship, tools for growth, free and confidential counseling, and access to workshops, all at little to no cost.

Committees

The Chamber sponsors over a dozen committees for members to help make a difference in an area of interest to them. With groups including broad based Hudson Valley Young Professionals and Women’s Leadership Alliance to the more targeted Nonprofit Committee and Health andWellness Club, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Networking

Our members are invited to our monthly Contact Breakfasts featuring renowned keynote speakers, Business After Hours receptions and many other events where they’re able to meet fellow members and leaders in the Hudson Valley.

Volunteering

Members of the Chamber care about their local community and want to see it be better. In recognition of that fact, the Chamber offers countless opportunities to make a real difference. Whether it’s volunteering at one of our signature annual events such as the Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival, serving on one of our committees, or offering your professional expertise as a mentor to our leadership students, the Chamber and Chamber Foundation offers many ways to get involved!

Social Media

Promote your business or event to our audience of over 15,000+ combined followers on Facebook and Instagram! A paid ad will run on the Chamber’s social media with a tailored target audience set up by our staff. You will receive an analytics report at the end of the month with the results of the ad.
