Here’s how it works: 

1: The contest runs from July 1 - 31, and you can enter at any time before or during the event.

2: Register and create a team name – you can play alone or with others. You must enter a team name in order to win prizes. In order to be entered into the Grand Prize drawing you must be 18 years of age or older.

3: Earn points in several ways:

• EARN 300 POINTS by visiting each Participating Location, listed on this page, at any time during the contest period. Find the Scavenger Hunt poster, and input the specific keyword that is on the poster in the Goosechase App. Each Participating Location is worth 300 points.

• EARN 400 POINTS by visiting each Sponsor Location, listed on this page, indicated by an asterisk " * ", at any time during the contest period. Find the Scavenger Hunt poster, and input the specific keyword that is on the poster in the Goosechase App. Each Sponsor Location is worth 400 points.

• EARN 500 POINTS daily by visiting the Featured Location revealed each day. Listen to Q92.1’s “Marino In The Morning” show at 8 AM for the clue to that day’s location. Clues will also be posted on social media with #HVScavengerHunt after the on-air reveal. Be the first to solve the clue and visit the Featured Location to win additional prizes! Each day features a new location across the Hudson Valley, totaling 31 locations, each offering a minimum $50 prize. Winners will be contacted to collect prizes from the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Office or at the Grand Prize Drawing Ceremony on Friday, August 7. Find the Scavenger Hunt poster, and input the specific keyword that is on the poster in the Goosechase App. Each visit to a Featured Location earns 500 points. **Teams are allowed to visit a featured location after the location is featured. However, only on the day it is featured, will participants who visit the location earn the additional 500 points. You can still visit that location for 300 points, even if it is before or after the featured day.

• EARN 1,000 BONUS POINTS by visiting the four Bonus Locations. Each team will have the chance to earn up to 4,000 Bonus Points (1,000 points for each location) during the course of the contest. Follow our Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Facebook and Instagram pages during contest duration and watch for the social media posts that will give you a clue to earn 1,000 bonus points. Please note: Bonus points are more difficult to achieve, as the clues are harder to solve, and the location of the QR Code Poster will NOT be at a “Participating, Sponsor or Featured Location”. Once the clue is released, solve the clue, find the Scavenger Hunt poster at the Bonus Location, and input the specific keyword that is on the poster in the Goosechase App. Each Bonus Location is worth 1,000 points.

4: At each location you visit, find the Scavenger Hunt poster displayed in a prominent position, and input the specific keyword that is on the poster in the Goosechase App. Go to the location during posted business hours for additional discounts, deals and chances to win extra prizes. 5: Click SUBMIT and head off to your next location.

6: When you hit SUBMIT, the Goosechase App is tracking your team’s points. Once you get to 4,000 points you are automatically entered for a chance to win the third place prize, once you reach 5,000 points or more, you will be entered for a chance to win the second place prize, and those with the most points, will be in the running for the Grand Prize - a chance to win $2,026, additional rewards, plus other great prizes along the way. *Individuals must use the Goosechase App to participate in the contest*
