Beacon, NY – Mother’s Day, declared a national holiday by President Wilson in 1914, will be celebrated at Mount Gulian Historic Site on Sunday, May 14 with free tours for mothers. Tours of the house, which overlooks the Hudson River, as well as the Dutch barn and restored garden, will be given at 1:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. only. Light refreshments for all visitors will be available with our compliments. Make Mother’s Day extra special this year with a visit to Mount Gulian. While there is no charge for mothers, the fee for all others is museum admission of $8 adults; $6 seniors; $4 young people (ages six through 18); children under 5 and Mount Gulian members are free. Membership is open to the public.
