What is Breakfast of Champions?

Breakfast of Champions is the premier annual showcase for the best restaurants, cafes, delis, bakeries, caterers, farms and food service entities in the Hudson Valley. It provides the perfect opportunity to showcase your signatures products and services to a diverse audience of over 1,500 people in a short two-hour span.

When and where is Breakfast of Champions?
Breakfast of Champions will be held on Wednesday, June 18 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.

How much does it cost to exhibit at Breakfast of Champions?
Nothing! Exhibiting at Breakfast of Champions is completely complimentary. Your only commitment is your time and the products you choose to provide to showcase your business.

How much food should I prepare?

While over 1,500 people are expected to be in attendance, realistically, each vendor should prepare 500-800 tastings of their best product. Remember, that's a tasting size. Do not feel like you have to provide a complete meal for 800 people.

Do you have any tips to make my booth stand out?

Remember, your booth is a large part of the impression you and your business are giving off. Don't leave your booth plain! It should reflect your brand, featuring banners and decorations and the like. Furthermore, you should consider providing menus, coupons, gift cards, etc. to give people yet another reason to visit your location after Breakfast of Champions.

What is the layout of my booth?
All booth areas are 8’ x 10’ and include two skirted/clothed 6’ tables, two side chairs, signage and a shared wastebasket. Electricity is available, but you must supply your own extension cords (at least 25’). Please let us know of any specific appliances you will be using and special electrical needs. We will make every effort to accommodate you.

How can I make my booth flow well?
The flow of your booth should be set up in a way that optimizes getting the samples out to the public as quickly and efficiently as possible without cluttering up the display of your booth.  Our best suggestion is to use your back table as a prep area and have samples on small trays so you are not serving every item by hand.  That way you are presenting your business in a creative way on your front table and refreshing samples a dozen or two at a time.  Think of your back table as back of the house and the front as front of the house.

What kind of publicity should I expect to receive from Breakfast of Champions?
Aside from getting your product, menu and promotional materials in the hands of all the event attendees, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will vigorously promote Breakfast of Champions and its attending vendors. Everyone who participates will be recognized on a special “Hudson Valley Restaurant Guide” on the Chamber’s website, as well as be mentioned in press releases, event advertising and social media. On the day of the event, local radio stations will be broadcasting live from the Civic Center and might speak directly with your head chef!

When should I plan to set up my booth?
All exhibitors should plan to set up their booth on the morning of Wednesday, July 19 between 6-7 a.m.  If you would like to set up on Tuesday, please call Carmela at 845-454-1700 ext. 1006 and every effort will be made to accommodate your request.

Where should we unload our supplies?
Both the main front entrance and rear service entrance of the Mid-Hudson Civic Center will be open to unload supplies.  Once your vehicle is unloaded, it MUST be moved to one of the nearby municipal parking lots to keep the fire lanes clear for emergencies.  Courtesy of the City of Poughkeepsie, parking is complimentary on the morning of Breakfast of Champions.

*You must supply your own water, and there are no kitchen facilities on site.
