Mill House Brewing Company and Anderson Center for Autism have announced plans to once again collaborate in honor of Autism Awareness Month this April as the highly-anticipated “Mr. Anderson Ale” is released for the public to enjoy. The unique brew, first developed by Jamie Bishop and Larry Stock of Mill House Brewing, is a nod to Anderson’s long history and to its continued work in optimizing quality of life for individuals with Autism. $1 of every pint sold by Mill House Brewing Company during April (Autism Awareness Month) will be donated to ACA.

The Gallery @ Rhinebeck

The Gallery@Rhinebeck will showcase the talent of artists from Anderson including this opening reception, free of charge and open to the public. The exhibit will feature work by adults in the Anderson Center’s Expressive Outcomes program, an initiative for adults with autism that provides opportunities to experiment in visual, spoken, and performing arts. The 1st annual Crunch Fitness 5K starts in front of Crunch and courses through the Crown Heights neighborhood. There are no major hills and much of the course is tree-lined. The event also includes a pre-race warm-up with the trainers of Crunch Fitness. For more information, CLICK HERE.

The Autism Supportive Environment program is a community partnership designed to assist businesses in understanding, serving and supporting individuals with ASD and their families. Many times families of individuals with ASD find themselves isolated from their communities and unable to participate in activities we take for granted such as dining out, running errands, enjoying community events or recreation activities. By becoming an Autism Supportive Environment, your business is recognized as a bridge of acceptance and support and a true community partner.
In collaboration with the THINK DIFFERENTLY initiative, Anderson Center for Autism has received a grant from Dutchess County for our Autism Supportive Environment program. Through individualized consultations, Anderson Center Consulting assists businesses in designing an environment that is supportive to the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Since establishing our program in 2012, over 40 business have received services and before Autism Supportive Environments.
