DCRCOC News
The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Health and Wellness Club is offering skiers in the Hudson Valley one last chance to enjoy the winter season and hit the slopes during the First Annual Family Ski Trip on Sunday, March 3 to Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, MA. Buses will begin loading from the Chamber office (1 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie – across from the Mid-Hudson Civic Center) at 5:30 a.m. with departure at 6. The buses will leave Jiminy Peak at 5 p.m.
For just $65, skiers receive an all-day lift ticket, round-trip coach bus transportation provided by JTR Transportation, breakfast and après-ski snacks. Equipment rentals and ski lessons are available for an additional cost. Non-skiers are welcome to attend for $25. The trip provides a great opportunity for business people, their employees, families, and the community at large to get active and forge camaraderie amongst people with shared interests. Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County and Staff-Line, Inc. proudly sponsor the Family Ski Trip.
The Health and Wellness Club was formed in December 2012 in response to Chamber members looking for a greater opportunity to be active and health-conscious when away from their desks. The mission of the club is to create awareness of health and wellness throughout the Chamber and community, to provide venues for health industry Chamber members to promote their businesses, to provide opportunities to include members families at Chamber events and activities and to promote healthy living to the community. Upcoming club events include a health and wellness symposium on April 30, the Freedom 5K race on Saturday, July 6th, and a zip-line adventure in the fall.
