Business Education Committee

The Business Education Committee plans and oversees the Business Education Seminars of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. These seminars are a series of informative and content-rich forums led by industry professionals dedicated to the needs of the business owner. They are held the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. with the exception of July, August, November and December.

The event is complimentary and open to both members and non-members. Light breakfast fare will be served. Reservations may be made online, by calling the Chamber office at 845-454-1700, x1000 or e-mailing whitney@dcrcoc.org

The Business Education Seminars are generously sponsored by the law firm Gellert & Klein, P.C.

The April Business Education Seminar will feature Ken Mann of Freedom Financial Solutions discussing how “Cash is King.”

According to Mann, cash is the heartbeat of your business and, managed well, keeps your company remaining healthy and strong. Cash flow simply means the movement of cash into and out of your business. While that sounds simple, poor cash-flow management is causing more business failures today than ever before. Achieving a positive cash flow does not usually come by chance. You have to work at it. At this seminar, Mann will teach attendees principles for managing, tracking, projecting, and improving a business's cash flow.

Mann is an IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer and an Intuit Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. As a Profit and Growth Expert, he helps small business owners with three primary goals: reducing taxes, increasing profits, and maximizing cash flow so they will have money in the bank when they need it.

The event will take place at the Chamber on Thursday, April 25 from 7:30-9 a.m. It is complimentary for both members and non-members, and breakfast will be provided. You must register by going to dcrcoc.org or calling 845-454-1700 ext. 1000. The Business Education Seminar is sponsored by Gellert & Klein.
